Silva vs. Boetsch Preview: UFC 117
At UFC 117 in the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Ca, Thiago Silva and Tim Boetsch will fight. On Aug. 7, the fight will take place.
Thiago Silva has been very disappointing as of late, although he had a great start to his career. His last 3 fights have brought mixed results, even though he started out his career with a 13-0 record. He lost his last fight by decision against Rashad Evans and he was knocked out three fights ago. After such a hot start to the career, two losses in 3 fights was much, less than Silva would have expected. Against Tim Boetsch, a win will go a long way towards redeeming him.
Time Boetsch has disposed of his last few opponents easily and he is a solid fighter. By way of submission and knockout, he has put away his opponents and in the UFC, he is ready to take his slot again. He did not succeed the way he would have hoped, although, in the UFC previously, he spent some time. Against Silva, he will have the chance to redeem himself, after gaining this momentum.
Throughout these fighter’s careers each of these fighters has had a lot of success and a win will look good on their resume. Silva will need to bounce back from this lack of success, although he has all of the tools. To be one of the top fighters, he has the abilities.
As each fighter tries to climb back towards the top of the sport, this fight should be entertaining.
