UFC 116 Preview: Main Event – Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin

Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin will square off at UFC 116 on July 3 in what is expected to be an exciting fight. This fight is slated in as the main event in a heavyweight match between two very large fighters and most MMA line moves rapidly for this mega event.

Lesnar has only fought 5 career mixed martial arts fights in his career to this point. He has won 4 out of his 5 matches including a 3-1 record to this point in the UFC. Lesnar is known for his powerful attack. He is the type of guy that will come hard and heavy at his opponent with huge swings looking for a knockout. He has such powerful paws that his strikes are known for shattering his opponents.

Carwin is by far the more experienced fighter out of the two. He has fought 12 fights in his mixed martial arts career to this point. The amazing thing is that he has not lost a single fight to this point, including his four victories in the UFC. He will have the advantage because of his experience, but he will be in for a tough match against Lesnar.

Carwin is probably the favorite, but nobody wants to underestimate the power of Lesnar. This fight could be one for the ages as we watch these two fighters absolutely duke it out in a brutal manner.

The key will be to stay upright. You can expect that whichever fighter gets knocked down will get pounced upon with thunderous blows as soon as he is on his back.
