UFC 114: Welterweight Bout: Amir Sadollah vs. Dong Hyun Kim
The welterweight division at UFC 114 will be an exciting one as Amir Sodollah will take on Dong Hyun Kim as part of the event. UFC 114 is set to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 29.
Amir Sadollah is the winner of Ultimate Fighter 7 and he boasts a record of 3-1. Since then, however, he has run into multiple injuries that have kept him off of the mat and not allowed him to take many fights. In his previous two fights, Amir showed that he is a heavy striker and has a lot of different combos up his sleeves. He took out Brad Blackburn and Phil Baroni in impressive fashion.
Amir looks to extend his win streak to three, and hopefully forget about his embarrassing loss TKO loss to Johnny Hendricks. His rebound has been pretty good and he looks to do well in this fight.
Sadollah‘s opponent, Dong Hyun Kim, is a bit of a different fighter and prefers his judo expertise. Dong has an impressive record of 12-0-1 and has won three fights inside of the Octagon. He has had a six year career so far and he has scored some top notch wins against T.J. Grant, Jason Tan, and Matt Brown.
One of the previous wins that he had was a no contest against Karo Parisyan. Dong initially lost the fight but then Parisyan failed a drug test and the win was overturned. Dong was supposed to fight Chril Lytle a while back but injuries have kept him out of the ring until now. Look for an interesting fight between a judo master and a striker.
